Take Charge Of YOU!

The day would always consist of twenty-four hours no matter how much you wish for more, worst part is, there is always going to be so much to do; cooking, laundry, homework, babysitting, and then the job. Shuffling working and family can be exhausting and the tricky part is that when you put all your efforts and concentration on one, the other would suffer an ordeal of negligence, so how do you fix this? You would have to create a balance!

Deal with the chores:

For most ladies, chores are the beginning of the endless cycle of headaches. The knowledge that you have to put the house in order while getting all busy is overwhelming. As simple  as it sounds it is actually true, doing chores is not as crazy and chaotic as you think it is, you just have to take one task at a time. If you make to do list for chores, bravo! If you don’t, you should. When you make a list, your priorities  become clearer and you have a sense of understanding on what to do and when to do it. After making your list you should stick to it. If your list says make breakfast, clean the house, fold the laundry, nurse Billy, and throw the trash, then make sure you do just that even if you just remembered grocery shopping, stick with the plan that way you get to stay more focused with that, and you are able to wrap things up and head for your task for the day.

Talk about it:

You can create a atmosphere where you can share your difficulties with your spouse and children. Imploring them to get involved with putting the home in order is an amazing idea, getting them to take responsibilities at home solves the issue of constantly worrying about so much. This would. not only make your work easier and faster, but create an atmosphere of closure when they all put joint efforts to make it work. You can share the chores, perhaps a dish roaster or laundry roaster, that way the work load is reduced tremendously. 

Always look In the mirror.

You should look in the mirror more often not just to check if you got the combinations right, but to see yourself in a great light. You ought to take of your self to be the biggest backbone that you have. It is mandatory if you find a me-time, a time to meditate, read a book, take a walk, see a movie, cook at home, yes Cooking at home may not sound like something extremely important but you need to make meals and reduce take outs . There are some common food in our kitchen that can help promote a healthy diet. Fruits like banana are good, also, Avocados, nuts etc. are very helpful too. Get registered with a gym, find time to work on your tensed muscles or you can jog through your street, what ever works for you. Learn to keep fit, it helps put body and mind in good shape.

Be deliberate about your connections.

Be deliberate about the time you spend with family, it is important that you do. Find time to ask about their day, show interest about their project, homework and social life. Time flies quickly it is necessary to keep them close so you don’t miss the important moments in their life. You can create time for little picnics in the yard or somewhere in a park, have a real time and relieve yourself from a stressed packed week.

Work is work

Let there be a distinction between work life and your family life, work is work. What I mean is control  the way you bring work back home. You should try as much as you can not to make it a habit. My first suggestion is you create a workspace, if you have your business or a work attend to outside your home then you don’t necessarily need one. Your work space can be a spot somewhere around the house. The importance of this is that your body or brain  gets used to that space and when you get there and it gives you the signal that it is time to work when it’s time to work, this is because you have gotten used to working in that particular space. You should have a fixed time for work, that way you are able to differentiate work time from family time. Creating balance is a task, however I know you can do it!
