Stress has become part of the lives of mompreneurs. This however doesn’t mean it can’t be controlled. With work, business, spouse, kids, friends, and family to look out for, the list of priorities is endless and we, as women of the home, end up feeling suffocated. Many times, we find ourselves suddenly desiring to find a closed area and shut everyone else out. Well I’ve got good news for you, or should I say hacks…
Firstly, no one ever said any of this going to be easy, but it could be when you have your own to-do list. This is essential because as minute as it seems, having a list that tells you what to do when you are supposed to do it, helps a great deal in putting your activities in order. It helps you differentiate your priorities. That’s not all, whenever you feel your body getting tensed, you can also try this stress relief technique; get a piece of paper and list out at least six reasons why you are stressed out, this enables you to know what part of your activities stress you out the most.
Secondly, Work out regularly. I’ll scream about working out if I have to! Studies show that working out aids the release of endorphins in the body thus, also helping in the overall activity of the day. Working out also helps release and relax tensed muscles. Not only those, it also helps your level of concentration, defecating ten to twenty minutes of your time to try out a routine helps boost your focus and your cognitive strength. Hence it is important to understand that working out does not only help your body keep fit but helps keep you in track of you.
Having warm baths can be magical tools for stress relief as it is scientifically proven that it helps to ease body pain. Do you know what happens to you when you bath? Did you know that the activity of scrubbing and soaping you body aids intensive blood circulation in all parts of your body thus reducing blood thickness and also helping the vessels perform better? Dipping in cold water can help with health issues linked with hormonal imbalance like chronic fatigue syndrome and some fertility problems. This method of bath also enables glands secrete hormones like beta-endorphin, cortisol, or Adrenocorticotropic hormones in a balanced form. Study shows that bathing reduces stress, tension-anxiety, anger-hostility, and depression. Serotonin is commonly known for releasing feelings of happiness and well-being. One of the health benefit of bathing with warm water is that it increases the flow of the “feel-good” brain chemical (endorphins) in the body. Endorphins ease symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Generally, taking a bath is known to cleanse the skin, this is because it opens the skin pores which had been clogged the whole day from sweating, toxins, air pollution, and dirt which results in acne and blackheads. A hot bath unclogs the skin and during cold showers, the skin constricts thus closing pores and moisturizing your skin, this also helps improve skin elasticity. Does a simple bath supply the body with the optimal body temperature required to conform with the environment? It is a simple fact that a little cold shower during a hot Weather cools the entire body system just as taking a hot bath can take the chills away.
Another tip on the list is taking a boost. Ok so I am going to share three boosts I use while working long hours, they are Coffee, Chocolate, and water. Eating Chocolates is one of my favourite boosts because it contains theobromine. The need for coffee can not be totally ignored especially when working long hours, And of course water. Water helps to keep you hydrated and boost physical performance during activities. It energizes and also helps with stress levels.
Handling stress is a deliberate activity don’t let it overwhelm you handle it!
